Brick wall: SMASHED!

Thanks to the diligent efforts of our Czech archivist and researcher, Markéta Hrdličková, we have finally broken through the brick wall of Wenceslaus Nowotny and Agnes Soulek. With her help, we've discovered Wenceslaus's parents and grandparents, and Agnes's ancestors five generations back!

There are still gaps, missing dates, and absent mothers' lines, but between new parents and all their children, we can add more than fifty ancestors to our family!

Here are the new generations. The connection point between the two screenshots are Jakub Filip Saulek, my fifth-great grandfather.

I know the screenshots are tricky to read, so please head over to FamilySearch.org to click on each name and learn more about them. And keep an eye on this blog, where I'll post details we've learned--where they're from, what they did for a living, who had twins, and what their villages looked like in the 19th century.
